Food Review : Garuda Padang Cuisine

Yes,another food review.I love good quality food and that's why I keep on blogging about it.Last Saturday,I brought some VIP guests from Australia to Vivocity and we decided to dine at the Garuda Padang Cuisine.Normally I would be quite contented to eat nasi padang at Arab/Bussorah Street but because I am a poor man with rich tastes,I decided to give this posh-looking restaurant a go.

Ambience:
All white retro decor which I find quite odd that it is associated with the humble nasi padang.Nevertheless,it feels nice after a while and I feel that the taitais and makciks would also feel at home here

Food:
It is said that there are many variety of rendang around the Nusantara but the one from Padang is the best.I couldnt concur more to that statement. The best way to eat Nasi Padang is when you're extremely hungry and there's a variety of dishes to appreciate all the different tastes and flavour that compliment each other. The chicken they serve here are those free range skinny kampung chicken for that authentic feel(as oppose to the fat KFC Genetically-modified ones)so you might feel that the portion is too little

Service
There are a few ladies in tight-fitting sarong kebaya but they are not there to take your order as you have to go to the glass display, akin to the food courts,to choose your dishes.A burly waiter would then bring the dishes to your table. The waitresses are there just to act pretty and tambah your rice, and I had three helpings that day.Looking at this picture below(butter chicken) makes me wanna bite the computer screen
