Food Review : Straits Kitchen@ Hyatt

Dr M once gave this piece of advice,"Bila makan tengah sedap, itulah masa untuk berhenti."(When you start to enjoy your meal, that is the time to stop eating)MM Lee advises Singaporeans to just eat a small quantity of food but ensuring that it covers all the food groups.Maybe that is the reason that both men lived long enough to be grumpy old men octogenarians. The Straits Kitchen@ Hyatt Hotel makes a mockery of these advice and then some.I went there last week with some colleagues to sample their renowned hawker fare.I must say that it turned people who are poor eaters(you know the type, those who peck like birds) into big-time gluttons. Can't really blame them,as the spread consists of

MALAY
  • Nasi padang
  • Stingray
  • Sate
  • Otah
CHINESE
  • Chicken/Duck rice
  • Kway Teow
  • Carrot cake
  • Popiah/Char Kue station
INDIAN
  • Naan
  • Murtabak
  • Prata
  • Tandoori chicken
  • Rogen Josh
I have very little to complain except that you need to pay for hot drinks. All the fruit juices are free flow,of course.
