Two mega-projects are in the pipeline for fun-loving Singaporeans!!One's for the global market(Sentosa IRs)and the other for the HDB heartlanders(Pasir Ris Downtown East)I am quite excited about it because I dont have to travel all the way to Gold Coast,Australia just to bring my kids to high-quality theme parks,i.e Universal Studios.Features of the 2 new "must-go" places include;
- Sentosa :- A Universal Studios theme park — "significantly larger" than the one in Hollywood, Los Angeles — may find its way to Singapore, if Genting International bags the Sentosa integrated resort (IR) site.One gripe though,why must it be in the already over crowded Sentosa???
.
Expect also a larger portion of indoor, air-conditioned rides in the theme park — no thanks to Singapore's weather — and a mix of attractions that will be tailored to the local, Indian and Chinese markets.
- Downtown East :-The 200,000 sq ft mall will feature a multi-screen Cineplex, a 6-level multi-storey carpark, a 32-lane bowling centre and a host of retail and food and beverage outlets. NTUC Fairprice will be one of 2 anchor tenants. The other is likely to be an operator of a mega indoor interactive gaming arena.It's open 24/7 365 days a year baby!!
