The Sword Of Damocles is going to strike us all soon with the current spate of rising costs..Fuel prices up,taxi prices up,electricity tariffs up,bank loan interests up and..need I say more?Every heartlander will feel the pinch. I am not a whiner and I have been reading lots of books lately by Robert Kirosaki(Rich Dad,Poor Dad), Tim Robbens(Motivation Guru) and Deepak Chopra. All three preached the same thing; you have to initiate changes in your life, as Life Is What You Intended It To Be.These are their money making tips(not mine,ok!)
1. Invest $400,000 in a low risk investment plan and hibernate for 40 years. When you wake up,your money would have snowballed to $4.8 million Sing dollars. -Leceh!We are not bears so we can't hibernate.
2. Bet all of your retirement fund on Saudi Arabia winning the 2010 World Cup at the odds of 1:800.If you bet $100,000,you earned $80,000,000.-More Leceh! This will never happen!
3.Start a business-Most Leceh but this is the best and most realistic option so far.
We all know that 9 out of every ten business plan will fail but the trick here is to try to predict what will be the next Singaporean Fad.First, there was Bubble Tea,then Floss Buns, then Roti Boy,then Luo Han fishes, then Pei Du Mama Tui Na Massage Parlours...so what do you think would be next??Deep fried Mars bars???Try monitoring the scenes and what's happening in Japan,Taiwan and Hong Kong,as these places set the trend in Asia.Chances are, what became hits there would also be popular here.
Like a 500 Watt lightbulb from IKEA brightening up a dark cave,I have a conceived a business idea in my head but I shall not reveal it here yet.Do wish me luck, guys
