Lucrative Kids For Kash Scheme

Hari Raya was never meant to be an excuse to go on a shopping spree.I have always adopted the K.I.S.S(Keep It Simple,Stupid!) maxim when it comes to home decoration and furnishing for Hari Raya.That's the reason why I adopted the Zen Minimalist look for my home,ie no need to buy anything.However this year,I threw caution to the wind and joined the throngs of brainwashed-by-advertisements zombies who made Hari Raya such a commercialised affair.As a result,I burnt a huge hole in my pocket and almost went into negative equity.Among the stuffs I purchased this year;
  • New 3+2 leather sofa set
  • new carpets
  • new paint
  • a glass coffee table in which you can display sea shells in it
  • new curtains(a must for Malay homes)
  • new comforters
  • new wall decorations
  • new cushion covers
  • new table cloth

So you see,I've no choice but to send my kids for the Kids For Kash scheme.The scheme works by sending your kids to visit all your relatives,neighbours and friends you(hardly) know.It is a Hari Raya custom to give out green packets containing money to school-going kids.(no,teachers on study and sabbatical leave are not considered school-going kids)The green packets contain at least $5 each,as nobody gives out $2 anymore unless you want to be known as El Cheapo by your relatives and friends.I've done my calculation,and it works out to about $500 per kid,that would total up to $1000 for me.Heheheh....at least got back a bit of ROI(Return On Investments)
