How To Splurge Four Million Singapore Dollars Instantly

Disclaimer : Money can only buy comfort, but not happiness

When all the planets in the universe aligned themselves in a linear formation,I will suddenly have 4 million dollars in my bank account. What could I possibly buy with 4 million dollars?Hmm..a homebody like me would need a nice pad of course, but the Marina Bay Residences are too pricey at $3000 psf or 15 million dollars each.Strangely, all the uber penthouses are snapped up in record time, thus proving that Singaporeans are either ultra rich or very clever investors.

I would have to go for the next hottest property, the Carribean@Keppel Bay,that's not selling so well. Each unit costs about 1 million SG dollars.Notice that there is a private jacuzzi in the master bedroom that overlooks the gorgeous poolside. Also,it is a short walking distance to Vivo City and Sentosa. Can also park your yatch(how to spell this word correctly?) if you have one.
Damage to bank account :1.2 million dollars
(Yeah I know, with this kinda money I can build a huge villa in Johor Bahru that's freehold, rather than just 99 years)

I am also a big fan of Breitling watches. These fine Swiss watches have a long tradition and history dating back to 1884,unlike Tag 'Who'Heuer that doesnt have any.Rolex are nice too but they only look good on a Towkay's wrist. Each would costs around $3k so I think I will buy six pieces to each suit a particular outfit.

Damage to Bank Account : $18,ooo

I would also fill my entire wardrobe with clothes from Raoul. http://www.raoul.com These superior quality shirts are made with 3000-count Egyptian 100% cotton threads, ensuring a comfortable feel.Prices start from $129

Damage to Bank Account :$6,000

Next, a homebody would need some serious entertainment in his condo.A made-in- China/Taiwan/Korea plasma TV just wont make the cut.I will settle for no less than the 52-inch Sony Bravia LCD TV.It has 1080i full HD definition and is the perfect paraphernelia to show off to my guests should I decide to throw a party.
Damage to Bank Account : $15,000

Additional gadgets

  • Wireless surround sound with tall boy speakers
  • Universal remote commander
  • Smart TV DVR from SCV
  • DVD recorder with full HD
  • XBox 360,Playstation 3,Nintendo Wii(yes,all three of them,having just one wont do)
  • $10,000 DIY Desktop computer from Sim Lim Square
  • A massage chair to keep my blood circulating and muscles moving(so I wont get deep-vein thrombosis watching 9 hours of the LOTR trilogy)

Damage to Bank Account : $20,000

Sometimes, the homebody needs to get some fresh air outside.I only have 4 million dollars so I cant possibly buy an Aston Martin. The ride of my choice would be the Limited Edition STI Subaru WRX.This baby has 316hp@6000 rpm and can easily be increased to 400hp by whipping out an additional $30,000 to buy the ECU and flying the Japanese engineer over to Singapore to tune your ride.Yup,bear in mind that the Porsche Carrera or Boxster has only 246hp at $240,000(with COE)You might scoff and say that this is the toys of Bengs who cant afford a proper sports car. Then again, this is one of just two cars (the other is the Evo 9)which can be easily modified that gives incredible horsepower at a cheap price. That's why its the star of Tokyo Drift, the rave of auto magazine editors and the choice of the Singapore Traffic Police

Damage to bank Account : $150,000(with full modifications plus paying the Japanese engineer)
